Florence Crittenton is delighted to announce they have received $1.25 million in funding from the County through a Community Development Block Grant – CARES Act fund. This funding will enable Florence Crittenton to expand their services to young families by supporting the purchase of the former Cooney campus located on Cooney Drive.

The acquisition of this property will enable Florence Crittenton to build a true campus for their programs of residential treatment programs for women and children, outpatient clinical services and home visiting programs for families, and early childhood education programs.

Lewis and Clark County has a long history of partnering with local nonprofits and the Montana Department of Commerce on CDBG grants to address affordable housing, community services, and economic development needs in the County.

This is a new chapter in Florence Crittenton’s storied history, one that will take us through our next 100 years”.

The acquisition of the property is just the beginning of the project that will include renovations to the main building on the campus in order to serve the specific needs of the programs at Florence Crittenton. The details of this project will be released in early 2022.
